Writing Around the Web – April 2, 2008

Read my review of Rockstar Freelancer

It’s been more than a couple of weeks since I’ve given you some Internet writing links, so let me take a break from the intense Print/Internet writing discussion to send you forth across the World Wide Web in search of Wisdom:

The first web site I want to share with you today is one I’m extremely thrilled about.  This blog is from an up-and-coming blogger who many of you already know.  If you click on none of the other links in this post, click here.

I should have pointed you to the Writing Blog March Madness sooner.  Writer’s Resource Center has linked to the Writing Journey several times since I started up, and I’ve been a bit remiss in linking back.  My apologies to John and the great work he’s got going on over there.  I feel especially bad after reading Game 8.  Kudos to John for this cool concept, and congrats to those who’ve made it through the first half of the first round.

Donna Gephart is a children’s writer from South Florida.  I happened along her blog some time back, and throughly enjoyed reading it.  She was kind enough to allow me to offer a guest post today on why we need writers.  Read all about her book here.

James at Men With Pens is my hero.  He combines the perfect balance of acerbic wit and pure motivation.  Read his thoughts on accomplishing your dreams.

Help out John over at Inklit.  He’s trying to hit 100 subscribers in his first 100 days, and I think he can do it.  He’s down to the wire, so take a look, see whatcha think.  John’s been a great commenter here, and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed watching his blog over the last few weeks.

Yaro Starak of Entrepreneur’s Journey and his Blog Profits Blueprint was, in many ways, what inspired me to start Writing Journey.  Yaro has a popular post this week that goes hand-in-hand with James’ post:  How to Remain Productive When You Feel Like Giving up.  (On a side note:  If you are new to Blogging and want to learn to do what Yaro has and make a full time income blogging part time, be ready when Yaro Reopens the Blog Mastermind program.  I’ll make sure to let you know right here when that happens, too.)

Anyone know where Skellie’s been?  The most recent article, Paths to an Insanely Popular Blog, was excellent, as always.  I’m looking forward to her return.

Thank God April Fool’s day is over.  I swear, if I read about one more blog sale or retirement, I’ll throttle Rick Astley.

That about wraps it up for today.  I’m guest posting at Remarkablogger later this week (I believe) so watch for that one over there soon!

What, you no liked? :)

I made sure the annoucement was so over the top (and Graham’s comic was soooo bad) that I didn’t expect anyone believing it!
:)

Next year I’m so posting a full article in French!

@ John and @ Joh – you’re welcome.

@ Chatty – The comic tie-in was fricking hilarious.

James at MWP will appreciate the French article, I’m sure.
